I have been busy. Man, you have no idea how busy I have been. NO IDEA! So busy in fact that blogging this very minute makes me feel like I'm wasting time.
Want to know how busy I am? Here's a list of things I've done that I haven't blogged about.
I attended Wondercon up in San Francisco a few weeks back and appeared on a panel about children's publishing with fellow children's comic people which included the likes of Jenni Holm and Nathan Hale.
I saw Oliver Jeffers speak at Books of Wonder AND I got a huge drawing from him
I attended Storyfaire in Santa Barbara last week. Spoke about and sold a bunch of Chicken Dance books.
Chicken Dance won the Oklahoma Book Award.
I actually pitched a few feature film ideas to Dreamworks
Since December, I have four video games for my X Box that I have bought but haven't even OPENED yet.
I'm BUSY I tell ya!
So, If you don't hear from me for the next two months it will be for the following reasons....
I am preparing for the ad campaign for "OH NO!" which will be released in June
Doing the same for "Attack of the Fluffy Bunnies" which I believe comes out in May?
And the same for "The Adventures of Nanny Piggins" in August
I am preparing for a trip to Florida for an SCBWI Event.
I'm a judge for one of this years SCBWI Grants
I'm going to a wedding.
I am preparing for a panel at this years ICON 6 Illustrators event being held here in Pasadena, CA.
OR the most likely reason, I will be doing the coloring death march for my graphic novel. I'm up really up against the wall here folks even with the additional coloring help. I'm confident I'll finish it up though, so no worries to my editor who is most most likely going to read this and wonder if I'll make the deadline.
I leave you with this page in my graphic novel, and until then, I will send you transmissions from the mother ship whenever I get the chance. Don't be sad, just remember, I LOVE YOU ALL.
END COMMUNICAITON.
Gah! I'm exhausted just reading that. Dan you are THE MAN! Your work is wonderful, and I can only believe all of this effort you are putting out into the universe is going to have a huge pay-off for you.
Love the panel, btw. Very Casablanca. ;)
