Quiet

I know this one is a little late for Illustration Friday. This past weekend I attended the memorial service for the father of some old family friends that I've known all my life. It was the first funeral service I've ever been to, but as the monk said, as time goes on this becomes a normal part of life.

In any case, we had a moment of silence and I drew a quick (20 minute) piece of a monk in honor of their father for this Illustration Friday.

Beautiful, a real sence of tranquilllity and peace here, with such warm colors to that enhance the the quiet. Wonderful idea and wonderful artwork, amazed at how fast you are, wow!
