I wanted to let you all know that I've posted up the artwork for "The Secret Life of Walter Kitty" here .
The book doesn't come out till January of next year but I figured it would be nice to burn this image into your minds so that when you see the book at a bookstore you'll say "For some reason I think I HAVE to buy this book."
What's up now? Well, I got my manuscript notes back for "The Domesticated Six" and it will be undergoing some changes. With a busy schedule ahead of me who knows when that will be done. I'm also trying to find time to put together the manuscript for "The Replacements" picture book for Hyperion. A guy just never seems to have enough time in the day for anything else, especially with a new kid you LOVE to hang out with so much.
On deck, I'll be illustrating "The Ghosts of Luckless Gulch" written by tall tale extraordinaire Anne Issacs! Anne's last book won the Caldecott Honor book so it's needless to say that I'm honored to be working with such a talented author as well as with the fine folks over at Simon and Schuster.
Anne, if you're reading this, I hope you don't mind while I ride on your successful coattails do you? We're gonna make a wonderful book!
In other news, I'm working on the interior art for Otto #5 and gearing up for the last and final Otto #6 while working feverishly on the Macy's Day Parade poster. I'll be postig images of it fairly soon. I'm quite pleased with it so long as my computer can handle the immense size of the file.
Back up your work everyone!
Peace out.
Congrats on all the work you've been doing. The Walter Kitty artwork is amzing. Count me as a be fan of yours who can't wait for the book to come out.
