Well it's about time Mr. Santat.....
One of my favorite book jacket designers in the world is CHIP KIDD (Who wouldn't agree?) and here is an amazing lecture featuring Chip Kidd, Dave Eggers, and design legend Milton Glaser. I think if you watch this video over and over again you'll learn a tremendous amount about iconic design and typography which are essential tools for visual communication.
This is yet another piece for the Gallery 1988 show. So far, I think this is my favorite piece out of the bunch.

Again, I apologize for it being such a crappy photo but that just mean's that if you want to see the original you'll have to get your butt down to the show which I'll provide details for later.
Now, I know I haven't posted in over a week and the reason is because my wife was battling a kidney stone all last week, and from what I've observed it's the worst form of pain on the face of the Earth.
I was hoping we could keep it so I could blow it up with a firecracker but, alas...
Anyway, I made this little get well card to commemorate the experience....
