"The Replacements" opening in Chinese

Here's the opening credits of the show in Chinese that I just found up on Youtube. I love that they actually made they lip syncing worse so it could feel more like a kung fu movie.

Thanks Old Donation Center!

Nice to be back! I gathered some footage during my trip to Virginia Beach and complied it into one video. The kids were great and everyone in Virginia Beach was so nice and friendly. I was interviewed by the local television news channel and so I spliced that footage into the video as well. I want to thank Erika Hitchcock and all the kids at Old Donation Center for their warm hospitality. I'll post more about the trip in December.

Sorry for the lack of posts but I'm going to be silent till the end of November because I've got two huge deadlines approaching at the end of the month, but I'd like to leave off by saying THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER KITTY made it as #2 on Amazon.com's Top 10 Editors Picks for 2007! Way to go!

See you soon!

Virginia here I come!

I've been quiet all week because I've been busy frantically preparing for a one week presentation at the Old Donation Center School in Virginia. If it's interesting enough out there I might put up some video blogs on the site to share with you all.

In other news, I forgot to mention that last weekend I went to an SCBWI event instructed by the very knowledgeable Mac McCool (easily the best name ever given to a human being) I was there to learn about how graphic novels are made. "But Dan," you ask, "Aren't you already working on a graphic novel? Don't you already know how to make one?"

To that I respond a resounding "kinda". I skipped out on a baby shower to solidify my initial ideas as to how graphic novels were made and I returned with a wealth of knowledge. It sort of reminded me of that scene in "Adaptation" where Nick Cage's character is struggling with the screenplay for "The Orchid Thief" and attends the UCLA screenwriting course to try to get out of his writer's block. I'm in the middle of a project and I'm still trying to get instructions as to how to actually do it.

See you on Monday Virginia! (Ugh, I gotta fly Southwest Airlines...)
